IntoUniversity is a wonderful charity which works to improve the life chances of young people from backgrounds where going to university might not be an easy or obvious choice. The charity operates from 31 centres around the UK, providing after-school activities for primary age children and mentoring for older students. It has very high success rates in improving the educational outcomes of many young people over the last 13 years.
The COVID-19 crisis has forced IntoUniversity to adopt new ways of working - predominantly by telephone - with families, many of whom have been particularly hard hit. It has also led to one significant funder having to withdraw leaving a £100,000 shortfall in funding for the next academic year. Hence the "100 for a 100k" appeal.
Among many other activities, a group of us are planning to ride 100km through the Essex and Suffolk countryside on Bank Holiday Monday. We would be hugely grateful if you would support us and this very good cause.
