The COVID-19 crisis has had a devastating impact on the education and wellbeing of the young people that IntoUniversity serves.
We must be there for our students across the country next year, supporting them to recover from the learning loss that this crisis has caused - and to ultimately achieve successful futures. However, IntoUniversity needs to fill a £100,000 funding gap left by a supporter who has been forced to withdraw their funding next year - also due to the crisis.
Alongside the challenges completed by many colleagues and supporters, I've challenged myself to walk 100km in two (and a bit) weeks. I am squeezing mini-hikes in before and after work daily - come rain or shine! - and longer treks each weekend too.
This is a tight timeframe and quite an intense schedule, but the challenge is so worth it to support our students at this exceptional and incredibly difficult time.
I'd be incredibly grateful for any sponsorship that friends and family might be able to donate towards my walking challenge as part of IntoUniversity's 100 for 100k fundraiser this August, thank you so much in advance for any support you might be able to provide!
